Slowly, your creativity is being hijacked by engagement rates, metrics, KPIs, product guides, and Jira boards.

I donāt know if I can speak for you but I think I agree with Oscar Wildeās Aesthetic Concept of āArts for Artās Sakeā. According to him, "The only thing that matters is that a work of art should be beautiful."
Honestly, if I didnāt have to worry about bills and banana bread, Iād rather be somewhere in nature writing my next big novel and just being me.Ā Ā
But wishes donāt pay bills so the real question is,Ā how can we escape this cage and set our creativity free?Ā š¦
Stop working in tech totally? Change career paths? Not necessarily.
Then how?
You can be more intentional about occasionally detaching from it all - The screens, slack messages and 100 million strategy calls. Go outside. Do the random stuff that makes you tickle. Give yourself permission to create something ājust becauseā.
Nurse a passion projectĀ and watch weird, artsy stuff that sparks joy, or reverse-engineer fun into your tech projects.Ā
The mission is simple: DONāT let the metrics, numbers and strategies put out your CREATIVE FIRE.
Remember, life is much more meaningful when you keep your ART ALIVE.Ā
