Hello, Buddy!
One thing I’m particularly loving this week is how this graph shows what developers worldwide earn in a simple straightforward way.

THE BIG IDEA
On Big Uncles and Betrayals..
Elon used to be like the big rebel uncle we all secretly admired, but lately, it feels like he's losing his cool factor.
First, we had to say goodbye to the name, then the free tweet editing feature, and now there's talk of having to pay just to tweet? Talk about a betrayal!
Now, we all know Elon's staunch support for free speech, even branding himself as a free speech absolutist. But his recent announcement about potentially introducing a pay-to-post system for new X users feels like a total contradiction.
His justification? — that this move is necessary to combat the rising tide of spam bots plaguing the platform over the last few months. He says it’s just going to be for the first 3 months and there’s still no update on how much these users would be expected to pay.
Personally, I'm not vibing with this move. How about you? I'm just grateful I hopped on the Twitter train back in 2019.
Ah, the good old days! Sighs in old age. Gen Alpha can’t relate.
